Prophetic Dream: Sometimes You Need To Encourage Yourself

Lately, I have been having more dreams than usual. I began to notice a recurring theme in the dreams which was encouragement and strength from the Lord to overcome. This is the first dream and I will begin to post some of the others I feel will be a great source of encouragement and strength.

I am posting the notes I used for the audio below. Don't forget to share this with others!

This message is for you. If you are listening to this message right now you were divinely led to fill your ears with the word I want to share with you. Of all the billions of voices you could be listening to right now you are listening to my voice and God will see to it that you get everything He has for you to receive from the Spirit of God inside of me.

The dream

You and I were having lunch outside at an amusement park that had a waterpark within it. We were sitting at a table by a swimming pool. Then this guy came and sat down with us. You were glowing and had a radiance about you, and you were so happy. You had so much joy on your face and light shined forth from your eyes. The other guy who came to sit with us looked so down like he had no hope in his life so you started to encourage him. You started sharing the story of your life with the guy. You shared your testimony and how you experienced some very dark times in your life.

You shared about the times you wanted to give up, and throw in the towel so to speak. It was during those darkest times in your life when you wanted to give up, when you had no will to live, when you could not see anything other than utter failure, it was during those times that it seems a new day would begin to dawn. God would come and bring you a breakthrough to help you to Passover into a new day.

As you began to share your stories with this guy he began to feel encouraged and before I knew it he was glowing like you! He had this radiance about him and he had a lot of joy in his face, so much joy in his face. When you finished sharing your stories the guy just sat back and was left in awe and wonder thinking about all that he had just heard from you. Then you sat back and you looked at me and you had such a big smile on your face. You had such a big smile on your face that I started smiling and I said, dude, you’re so happy! You looked at me and you said, I am so happy one day I am going to kiss you on your forehead! You said it like a little boy would say it to his father or mother. Then you turned back to the guy to continue to encourage him. End of the dream.

Interpretation:

I felt I needed to share this dream because the guy that was sitting across from you that you were encouraging was you. The dream means this: the future you came from your future to encourage you and to tell you that one day the story of your life is going to bring life to many people who are spiritually dead, (James 1:12 - Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.), to many people who want to give up, and even to many who want to commit suicide. God wants you to know that there is a day that is coming when your life will give life to many others. (unless a seed falls to the ground and dies). So God wants you to be encouraged and he wants you to stand strong. He wants you to know that no matter what you ever go through in this life God IS WITH YOU. He will never leave you, he will never forsake you. He’s invested a lot in you. He doesn’t want you to ever give up. Never give up no matter how dark, or how hard things may seem or be, never give up because it's in those darkest times that God will show up and show himself strong on your behalf always, always.

You know there are some battles that we just need to learn to let the Lord fight them for us.

It was mind-blowing when I was sitting in the dream talking with you and said, dude, you’re glowing when all of a sudden this guy walks up and sits at the table with us and it’s you! The glowing you and I mean glowing with the glory of God, from your near future and then you came to sit down with us. You looked so down and discouraged but then you started encouraging yourself.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 NKJV 9 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 10 But God has revealed [them] to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

I believe this is what the Lord is saying to many today, always encourage yourself. When there’s no one around to encourage you when there’s no one around to tell you that you’re doing great, that you’re awesome, that your talented, that you’re so appreciated, that you’re loved. When there’s no one around to tell you those things you need to tell them to yourself. You need to speak these things to yourself because you are, you’re fearfully and wonderfully made. Do not lay aside the prophetic promises of God and His prophetic words to you. Now is the time that you must wage war against the attacks of the enemy with the word of God and his prophetic words released over your life.

1 Timothy 1:18-20 NKJV 18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, 20 of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

2 Timothy 2:1-5 NKJV 1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of [this] life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.

Isaiah 46:9-11 NKJV 9 Remember the former things of old, For I [am] God, and [there is] no other; [I am] God, and [there is] none like Me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times [things] that are not [yet] done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,' 11 Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken [it]; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed [it]; I will also do it.

Isaiah 55:8-11 NKJV 8 "For My thoughts [are] not your thoughts, Nor [are] your ways My ways," says the LORD. 9 "For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. 10 "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper [in the thing] for which I sent it.

The interesting thing about this dream is the setting. It’s in a large amusement park that has a waterpark within the amusement park. We are sitting next to a beautiful pool.

Could it be that you have allowed yourself to be so discouraged or depressed that you are missing the goodness of the Lord that He has provided for us? Could we be so focused on what we think God isn’t doing for us that miss all that He is actually doing and providing for us now? Ever go on vacation with someone that is not having a good time no matter where or how beautiful the place is? Ever wonder how can a person be so upset and miss the beauty and opportunity for fun and adventure a vacation provides?

Amusement park - you may have become bored with the day-to-day struggles of life so you are trying to regain some joy in your life. Laughter does good like medicine. It’s time to connect to a new group of friends who know how to enjoy entertainment, a carefree atmosphere, and attractions, go for the ride of your life, learn how to play, and regain a childlike attitude

Waterpark - learning to operate in different depths of the anointing; enjoying ministering outside the four walls of the church; evangelism; outdoor recreation

Beautiful pool (a spiritual place or condition; a person’s measure of anointing; water has cleansing and refreshing properties; wash past hurts, disappointments, and sorrows away;

I believe the pool could also mean you are about to be baptized into something new in the Lord. A fresh new anointing, the mantle is about to come upon your life and ministry. Rejoice and enjoy the ride.

You may be going through a very dark time, but even in the darkest of times, God will provide a place of tranquility and peace. His shalom will break the yoke that binds you to chaos. You have to choose to believe that God is a God that delivers and redeems. He will deliver through whatever you are going through.

Let me say that again. No matter what you are going through God will deliver you through it. He will not deliver you from it but He will deliver you through it. He wants you to overcome, not turn and run.

James 1:2-8, 12-13 NKJV - 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have [its] perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 [he is] a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. ... 12 Blessed [is] the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

David encouraged himself in the Lord when every man he transformed from a loser into a warrior for God and the kingdom turned against him and wanted to kill him. David ran from them and went before the Lord. The scripture says he literally encouraged himself in the Lord.

1 Samuel 29, 30 tells the story of how David was rejected by the Philistines he served faithfully because the leaders of the army were fearful that David might turn against them in battle with their enemies the Hebrews. David pleads with them to let him and his men stay but they are made to leave in the morning. Then David and his men’s wives and children and all their possessions are looted by the Amalekites and their city burned down to the ground. The men with David now want to stone him.

David was rejected for no reason and was an outcast. Then he loses his family and possessions and now the only people he knows and cares for are ready to turn on him as well. They reject him and want to stone him.

The Bible says, but David strengthened himself in the Lord!

1 Samuel 30:6 NKJV 6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. 8 So David inquired of the LORD, saying, "Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?" And He answered him, "Pursue, for you shall surely overtake [them] and without fail recover [all]."

Daniel 11:32 NKJV 32 "Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out [great exploits].

Psalm 56:3-4, 11 NKJV 3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. 4 In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? ... 11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Habakkuk 3:17-18 NKJV 17 Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls-- 18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Job 14:7-9, 14 NKJV 7 "For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease. 8 Though its root may grow old in the earth, And its stump may die in the ground, 9 [Yet] at the scent of water it will bud And bring forth branches like a plant. ... 14 If a man dies, shall he live [again]? All the days of my hard service I will wait, Till my change comes.

Heavenly Father, when I do not have anyone on my side to encourage me and strengthen me I will encourage myself in the Lord. Help me to see Your goodness and provision provided for me even in the darkest hour of my life. I thank you that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I give You all the glory, in Jesus' mighty name! Amen!
