Got Pharaoh? Be still, the Lord will fight for you!
I am compelled by the Spirit of God today to remind you that we are in the season of Passover. Whether you keep the feasts or not does not change the fact that we have entered into ‘that’ season and the window of heaven is now open over you. Do you not perceive it? The way through the wilderness or the river in the desert? It springs forth now.
Genesis 8:22, "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease."
Ecclesiastes 1:9, What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.
The Lord has left signposts in His Word to remind us that He works according to His own purposes and strategies. He clearly intended us to understand there are times and seasons in which He operates to fulfill His purpose and His will. If we begin to learn how He operates, we can be in sync with Him in all His ways. It is possible.
This year Passover Seder was in my home. First time. The Lord was present and well pleased with His family gathering together to celebrate what He did for Moses and the Israelites in the first Exodus. We also celebrated what Yahweh is doing today. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. That means He is still delivering His people out of bondage and slavery to sin today. Now. He is a ‘now’ God.
I shared this Saturday night in my home and I’ll say it again today. Beginning March 30th until April 7th, do your best to get the leaven out of your home. Leaven is symbolic of sin. So, do your best to get the sin out of your life because the Angel of Death has been released to strike the Pharaoh in your life who keeps you in bondage and slavery. What does Pharaoh call himself in your life today? Is it pornography? Rebellion? Addiction to drugs? Depression? Disobedience? Poverty mindedness? Pharaoh has many names and many titles, but remember, “There is nothing new under the sun.”
Sure, God can deliver a person anytime He wants to. He’s God. Don’t forget that as long as the earth remains seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night, shall not cease. These are absolutes. The sun will come up tomorrow. You can take that to the bank. You can sow seed and it will produce a harvest. Now is the time to show your efforts to removing the leaven in your life and the harvest will come. I promise and you can take that to the bank too!
A couple of things to remember about the exodus. When the children of Israel were being pursued by Pharaoh through the wilderness and they came to the Red they began to fear, complain, and cried out to the Lord and Moses that they were better off in Egypt. Wow.
Exodus 14:10-12, And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD. Then they said to Moses, "Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? "Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, 'Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians'? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness."
They quickly forgot how God defeated the false gods in Egypt by destroying them with the ten plagues. Not to mention all the other supernatural acts Yahweh performed for them in the wilderness up to the Red Sea. What about the pillar of fire that keep the Egyptians separated from them all night long? Nevertheless, God had mercy on them and still protected them. What about us today? Saturday night at our Seder, we practiced our exodus and walked with staffs in hand outside under the moonlit night.
There was such a release of power that we knew God was present to strike the Pharaohs in our lives and He did it with a mighty outstretched arm! We must remember that just as Pharaoh intimidated and tormented the Israelites by threatening to put them back in bondage that Pharaoh in your life today will attempt to do the same thing. He will do his best to say, “WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING?” “YOU BELONG TO ME AND I WILL NEVER LET YOU GO!”
Exodus 14:13-15, And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. "The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace." And the LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
Do not believe that liar! Don’t look back! Don’t argue with him! Don’t you even think about it! This is meant to bring God glory and honor when you have made it to the other side of this battle. You will see the salvation of the Lord if you do not faint and grow weary. Fight! Fight with all that is within you! The victory is already yours. If you do, you will see Pharaoh in your life no more forever!
Exodus 14:16-18, "But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. "And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen. "Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen."
Is Pharaoh at your back? Why cry to the Lord? Lift up YOUR rod, and stretch out YOUR hand. You will discover that in the wilderness God has placed His authority and reputation upon you. You only need to lift your rod of authority and watch as your once withered and powerless hand stretches out and grows strong to part the Red Sea before you. The Red Sea is where Pharaoh thought he would drown the Israelites, but he was wrong.
What’s your Red Sea that Pharaoh is lying to you about? Whatever he has kept you slave to will seem to be before you as the Red Sea was before Moses and the Israelites. It may look bad today. It may seem that you suddenly find yourself deeper than ever, but you have to take a stand, lift your rod, and stretch out your hands over your Red Sea and you will see!
What will you see? Salvation! Salvation is waiting for you in the midst of your Red Sea! Yes! Salvation is waiting for you in your Red Sea, just as Salvation waited for the three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace in the Book of Daniel, but you must take up your rod and stretch out your hand and you will see Salvation too. You can take it to the bank. This I know to be true.
Exodus 14:13, And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today.
In Daniel chapter 3, Daniel is not mentioned being present. Chapter three tells the story of Meshach, Shadrach, and Abednego being thrown into the fiery furnace for not worshiping King Nebuchadnezzar’s idol. Just because Daniel is not mentioned does not mean that he did not have divine insight into what was about to take place and the trial the three boys were about to endure. These are just my thoughts, but maybe Daniel was interceding for them and that is why he is nowhere to be found during the trial. What if Daniel knew and counseled them before they were taken away to be accused and tried for not worshiping the king’s idol? This is not noted in scripture, but if Daniel would have counseled his three friends before they were taken before the king, I think it would have been written something like this:
And Daniel said to the three Hebrew boys, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today.
We know how their story ended. We know how the story of Moses at the Red Sea ended. Now you too can know how your story is going to end.
And I say to you, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for YOU today. For the Pharaoh you see in your life today, you shall see again no more forever.
The number 3 is confirmation and also God’s signature that it has been sealed for you…victory and a promised land is yours. He did if for Moses and the Israelites. He did it for Daniel’s three friends. He will do it for you.
How do I know Salvation is waiting for you in the midst of your Red Sea? Search it out for yourself. The word ‘salvation’ in Exodus 14:13 is:
Strong's H3444 - yĕshuw`ah. It is Yeshua! Yeshua is waiting for you in the fire, in the wilderness, and He is waiting for you in your Red Sea! This is your time and your season to be free once and for all. He who the Son sets free is free indeed and this is why the Son was sent for you…to destroy the works of darkness and to forever remove the taskmasters from your life. Be free, as He is free.
So, again I say, do not be afraid, stand still, and you will see Yeshua Himself accomplish your total and complete salvation. He will secure victory for you during this Passover season as He strikes the Pharaoh in your life and causes him to let you go forever and ever. Glory to God.
Father, show me the leaven in my life that the devil doesn’t want to me see. In Yeshua’s name, I pray. Amen.
Best,
Samuel
