Whac-A-Mole! The transformation of your prayer life.

This morning during intercession, I fell asleep and had a dream. In the dream, I was in what seemed to be a video game arcade. It was loud with the sound of what seemed to be every video game in the arcade being played. I was standing behind a person who was playing “Whac-A-Mole”, at least he was trying really hard to play, but he was too slow. His reflexes were very slow. Even his visual reflexes were zero to none. He lost every game he played, but he wasn’t discouraged. He just kept putting his tokens in the machine and losing. Part of the reason why kept losing was because of all the distractions from the noise of the video games being played by others in the arcade. It was obvious this guy was very competitive because he kept turning to look at the scores of the other players. In fact, it was the distractions around him that kept him from focusing on the game his was playing which caused his reflexes to be very poor. Losing again, he reached into his pocket and realized he only had one quarter left. Now he’s discouraged because he has not won one game. A little angry and realizing that he has been distracted, he tunes out the noise around him, he focuses all of his attention on the last game he’s about to play, and suddenly seems to have an ‘ah-ha’ moment. He begins to play his last game. With pinpoint accuracy, he whacks every mole as it is just beginning to rise out of its hole. He wins the game with a perfect score. End of dream.

Interpretation:

But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come… These things I have spoken to you so that you may be kept from stumbling. John 16:13, 1

The meaning of the dream is this: Your prayer life is about to be transformed because the author and finisher of your faith has spoken over you and He had decreed, “FAITH THAT PREVAILS!” So that now your prayers will be fervently hot to produce in all things asked – righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit because you will begin asking according to the will of the Father. Until now, the prayer life and fruitfulness of many has been like the guy in the dream. You have been slow to move when the Spirit of intercession prompts you to enter into the courts of heaven that you would lay down your life for your friends. There is no greater love than the act of intercession because it is motivated by unconditional love; not the will of man, but the will of the Father. Because you have been slow to move in intercession, you have become slow to see, in other words, slow to understand and perceive, that is, the wiles of the enemy. You do not yet understand that your level of discernment and spiritual perception is only as deep as is your intercession. No intercession, no discernment. The lack of intercession, not prayer, but intercession, has caused many to be easily distracted by the noise of the world, which is the arcade in the dream.

Now the one sown among the thorns - this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. Matthew 13:22

This has caused your intercession to be out of sync with the Spirit of God. Your adversary, the devil, seems to always be one step ahead of you. Until now your intercession has been in response to what the enemy has already done to oppose and hinder you. For some, intercession is more like filing a complaint with the police department rather than seeking justice from the Judge, but the Lord is about to turn things around for you. He is going to flip the script so that you will now always be one step ahead of your adversary, and you will easily take him out just easily as the guy in the dream whacked the mole!

Wikipedia.org says this about the game Whac-A-Mole:

If the player does not strike a mole within a certain time or with enough force, it will eventually sink back into its hole with no score. Although gameplay starts out slow enough for most people to hit all of the moles that rise, it gradually increases in speed, with each mole spending less time above the hole and with more moles outside of their holes at the same time. After a designated time limit, the game ends, regardless of the skill of the player. The final score is based upon the number of moles that the player struck. The term "Whac-a-mole" (or "Whack-a-mole") is used colloquially to denote a repetitious and futile task: each time an adversary is "whacked", it only pops up again somewhere else. In a military context, the term is used to refer to ostensibly inferior opposing troops who keep re-appearing.

And Wiktionary.org says the following:

The practice of trying to stop something that persistently occurs in an apparently random manner at the point where the occurrence is noticed.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

Holy Spirit will tell you things to come, remember? He will open your eyes to see your adversary the devil has actually devised a strategy and system of attack that has been tailor-made specific to your calling, purpose, and destiny in life. Your character is and always will be his target. His goal is to steal, and to kill, and destroy your integrity. Captivity and slavery then comes swiftly. We do not want to end up like the guy in the dream could have, in the world only playing games perpetually and never winning in life.

Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 1 Thessalonians 5:6

At the beginning of the year, the Lord gave me a word for the believer, “This year yield without measure.” If you are willing to yield to the leading of the Lord in all things, not just intercession, but in all things, I believe that you will begin to walk in authority without measure to overturn the strategies and systems of attack the enemy devised and employed against you, your family, and all things concerning you. As you watch and pray, you will receive power to turn the tables on the devil to beat him at his own game. You will revel, rejoicing in the Lord, in the presence of your enemy’s defeat and your victory over his works in your life.

Is not My word like a fire? says the LORD, And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Jeremiah 23:29

He was so precise and accurate with his mallet (hammer) that the moles never had a chance to fully rise up out of their holes. You too are about to have your ‘ah-ha’ moment from God and things will begin to turn around for you through the vehicle of your intercession powered by the Word of God, which is your mallet.

Losing again, he reached into his pocket and realized he only had one quarter left.

The guy running out of quarters in the dream represents his natural strength and abilities being diminished. Money is power, right? Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6. So when he came to the end of himself and realized it is the very moment his spiritual eyes were opened. And just what did he see? Apart from God, he could do nothing.

This is a significant time for many who have not seen much fruit in their prayer life. For some, there has not been much of a prayer life at all, but that’s all about to change. The quarter is significant. It represents redemption, forgiveness of sins, measurement, game, and year, as in three months. So the next three months are pivotal for your ministry of intercession. It must be developed and nurtured these next three months in order to get the results and victories previously mentioned. It also represents visionary transportation. Without a vision, the people perish. But it all starts with an act of obedience through faith which is the currency of the kingdom and the evidence of your intercession.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

Purpose in your heart today to dedicate these next three months to developing and nurturing your intercession before God. If you approach this time knowing that you know nothing then you will learn something about intercession that you will be able to impart to others. Be spiritually sober and focused because we are in a time of war, but we do not have to fear because we are being equipped and positioned for victory over our enemies. Our God is a faithful King!

Your prayer life is about to be transformed because the author and finisher of your faith has spoken over you and He had decreed, “FAITH THAT PREVAILS!”

Refuse to be defiled by the world. Make your mind up to not go back to those things that so easily beset you. GET RID OF COMPROMISE DECEITFULLY DISGUISED AS GRACE. Another word for compromise is HYPER-GRACE. Just thought you should be reminded. If you will do this diligently before God, the Father, He will reward you with a mantle of intercession, authority, and faith that prevails in all things.

One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see! John 9:25

The guy in the dream had his ‘ah-ha’ moment, a great awakening if you will, which began to cause things to turned around for him…because he didn’t give up! He began to have the upper hand over the moles once he began to focus on his game, which is symbolic of intercession.

The game Whac-A-Mole can actually strengthen your ability to focus which is what happened to the player in the dream. It might be said that all the attacks and opposition you have ever experienced from the enemy has been allowed by design for your own good. Doesn’t matter if you opened the door to the enemy or not. The Lord uses all things.

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, Genesis 50:20

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

You too must not give up! Don’t you dare give up praying and believing God and His Word! Keep asking, seeking, and knocking. You will receive! (Matthew 7:7-8) His promises are for you and will come to pass if you do not grow weary. He made an unbreakable promise with Himself to see to it that you reached your full potential in life and He is not a man that He should lie.

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it. He has not observed iniquity in Jacob, nor has He seen wickedness in Israel. The Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a King is among them. Numbers 23:19-21

Remember, we are in a time of war. Chuck Pierce prophesied this in Jerusalem in May of this year. I mention this to you because intercession will flush out undetected enemies. That’s what a mole is symbolic of – previously unknown enemies beginning to rise. If this begins to happen in your life personally, remember to guard your heart from offense and woundedness. Bless your enemies and do not curse them and they will hear the shout of your faithful King. Now, this is the word of God.

So then faith (that prevails) comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

I repeat, your God is a faithful King. Hallelujah!

I believe; help my unbelief and strengthen me with prevailing faith and a spirit of intercession that I might bring you glory. You and only You are so worthy!
